UNION, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by #7 Kean, 11-2, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 8-3.

Kean jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the third inning and took a 5-0 lead an inning later.  The Devils cut it to 5-2 in the top of the fifth inning thanks to a two-run single by senior second baseman Chris Baldino (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge).  The Cougars made it 6-2 after six innings and then tacked on five insurance runs in the eighth inning to put the game out of reach.

Senior outfielder Mike Zangrillo (Raritan, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) and junior outfielder Alex Sariyan (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) each had a hit and a run scored for FDU.

Sophomore pitcher Matt Mizerek (Matawan, NJ/Matawan) suffered the loss, allowing six runs on six hits in six innings.

The Devils return to action on Friday, March 26, 2010, at Wilkes beginning at 3:30 pm.
