WINTER HAVEN, FL - The College at Florham Devils pounded out 21 hits in a 19-13 victory over McDaniel in the third game of their Spring Break Trip on Monday afternoon. It was the second straight game in which FDU scored 19 runs or more.
With the win, the Devils improved to 4-1.
The Devils opened up a 12-0 lead after five innings of play but McDaniel put a little pressure on FDU by closing the gap to 15-12 after the seventh inning. The Devils were able to tack on four insurance runs in the eighth inning with the big hit coming on a two-run home run by senior catcher

Dan Pregno (Stanhope, NJ/Lenape Valley) made his 2010 season debut and went 4-for-5 with a triple, a stolen base, three RBI and four runs scored. Hubbert finished 3-for-6 with five RBI while senior designated hitter
Joey Santillo (Budd Lake, NJ/Mount Olive) was 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI. Sophomore shortstop
Steve Seminerio (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) had two hits, including a triple, two RBI and three runs scored and sophomore first baseman
Ryan Fandel (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Jake Hazen (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) picked up the win, tossing five innings while allowing four runs (all unearned) on eight hits and striking out three. Sophomore pitcher
Matt LaTorre (Galloway, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) came in to put out the fire when McDaniel rallied, picking up the save by throwing 2.1 innings and allowing one run on one hit.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, against Stevens beginning at 2:30 pm.
