MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils women's swim team knocked off St. Elizabeth, 69-29, but fell to Drew, 49-46, on Tuesday evening. The men's team was beaten by Drew, 107-60.
With the split, the women are now 2-7 while the men stand at 1-6.
WOMEN - The ladies were led by sophomore
Wendy Ferriero (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) as she won the 200 free in a time of 2:09.95 and the 100 free with a time of 1:00.47. Junior
Elisabeth Hilzen (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) won the 500 free (6:12.23) and sophomore
Luci DiMaggio (Allenhurst, NJ/Ocean) took the 100 breast (1:17.10).
MEN - Junior
Nolan Doyle (Aberdeen, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) won the 100 breast in a time of 1:12.38 while placing second in the 100 free (54.91). Sophomore
Daniel Herskowitz (Pomona, NY/North Rockland) placed second in the 500 free (5:37.28) and the 200 free (1:59.99).
The Devils return to action with their final meet of the first semester on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at York (NY) beginning at 6 pm.
