MADISON, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham Devils Athletic Department, Director of Athletics Kristin Giotta, and the FDU Devils Hall of Fame Committee are happy to announce the FDU Devils Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

This year's class celebrates the outstanding contributions of seven individual athletes, one coach and one team whose achievements have left a lasting legacy on FDU-Florham athletics.

The individuals set to be inducted in this year's class are Ryan Flannery (Baseball), Maggie Sohns (Field Hockey), Kevin Shadiack (Men's Lacrosse), Steve McCann (Men's Soccer), Rachel Groom (Women's Basketball), Megan Nemeth (Women's Lacrosse), Molly Miller (Women's Swimming), former Women's Lacrosse Coach Adrienne Carr, and the 2014 Devils Field Hockey team.
 
The induction ceremony will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20 in either Lenfell Hall in The Mansion or on Roger Kindel Court in the gymnasium of the Ferguson Recreation Center on the Fairleigh Dickinson University–Florham campus. The final location will be determined based on the number of attendees. Cocktail hour will begin at noon with the ceremony starting at 1:00 pm.

Ryan Flannery (Baseball) - BS '19
Ryan Flannery was one of the greatest pitchers in FDU-Florham baseball history. He is the Devils all-time career strikeouts leader with 223 and is third and fourth, respectively, in all-time career wins with 19 and complete games with 12. He put himself amongst the greats following his senior season in 2008 in which he finished with a 2.25 ERA and 74 strikeouts, both good for fifth best in a single season. He was named team MVP in both 2007 and 2008 as well as being a First Team All-MAC selection in each of those years. Following his outstanding 2008 campaign, Ryan was selected by the New York Yankees in the 47th round of the MLB Draft. 
 
Maggie Sohns (Field Hockey) - BA '20
Maggie Sohns was one of the top playmakers in FDU-Florham field hockey history. She tallied 69 career points with 19 goals and the all-time program record for assists with 31. Her 17 assists in 2019 remain the all-time single season assists record. Maggie is a four-time All-MAC selection, was twice named All-South Atlantic Region, and was a First Team All-ECAC selection. Sohns helped the Devils to MAC Freedom Championships in both 2018 and 2019 and propelled the Devils to back-to-back second round appearances in the NCAA Tournament. In 2019 she was named the MAC Freedom Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Year and earned herself an NFHCA First Team All-American selection. 
 
Kevin Shadiack (Men's Lacrosse) - BS '10
Kevin Shadiack was one of the most talented men's lacrosse players to come through FDU-Florham. He was named First Team All-MAC in three consecutive seasons from 2008 to 2010 and was team MVP in both 2008 and 2010. Kevin was named the MAC Championship MVP in 2009 helping the Devils earn the automatic qualifier for the NCAA tournament. He was a top 10 goal scorer in all of Division III in 2009 and earned himself an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American selection in 2010. Kevin is 10th all-time in career points with 184. He was inducted into the Devils Hall of Fame as a member of the MAC Freedom champion 2009 FDU Men's Lacrosse team. 
 
Steve McCann (Men's Soccer) - BS '85
Steve McCann was a force to be reckoned with during his time as a Devil. Steve scored 10 goals and tallied 15 assists for 35 career points. He was named Second Team All-MAC in both 1980 and 1981 before putting it all together and earning First Team All-MAC in both 1982 and 1983. In 1981, he helped the Devils men's soccer team to an ECAC Championship. 
 
Rachel Groom (Women's Basketball) - BA '16, MS '19
Rachel was one of the best two-way players in FDU-Florham women's basketball history. She is eighth in career points with 1318 and fifth all-time in blocks with 81. She was named MAC Freedom Honorable Mention in 2013 and Second Team All-MAC Freedom 2017. She was twice named Winter Academic All-MAC and was a CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division III Women's Basketball Third Team selection for the 2016-17 season. Groom was a key contributor to the 2013-14 team as she helped the Devils to an undefeated season going 33-0 with the second of six straight MAC Freedom Championships and NCAA Tournament berths from 2014 to 2017. This run included FDU's only National Championship team in any sport in 2014 and a quarterfinals appearance in 2015. Groom was named the MAC Freedom Championship Tournament Most Outstanding Player in both 2014 and 2017. 
 
Megan Nemeth (Women's Lacrosse) - BS '19, MS '20
Megan Nemeth produced one of the most decorated careers as a goalkeeper for the FDU-Florham women's lacrosse program. She helped lead the Devils to four straight MAC Freedom titles from 2015 to 2018 along with four consecutive berths to the NCAA tournament, advancing to the second round three years in a row. Nemeth was named to the All-MAC team for all four years of her career, earning First Team in both 2018 and 2019 and Second Team in 2016 and 2017. Megan was a two-time IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region honoree earning First Team honors in 2018 and Second Team in 2019. She was the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year in 2016 as well as the MAC Freedom Tournament Most Outstanding Player in both 2016 and 2018. Megan was a six-time MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week selection and finished her career as the program's all-time saves leader with 610.
 
Molly Miller (Women's Swimming) - BS '20
Molly Miller was one of the most prolific swimmers, male or female, in FDU-Florham swimming history. She was a two-time Second Team All-MAC honoree in the women's 200 Free and twice earned Third Team All-MAC in the women's 500 Free. She was best known for her First Team All-MAC performance in the women's 1650 Free as her record of 17:42.70 still stands today. In addition to her 1650 Free record, Molly holds program records in the 200 Free, 500 Free, and the 1000 Free. 
 
Adrienne Carr (Women's Lacrosse Coach) 2004-2019
From 2004 to 2019, coach Adrienne Carr established FDU-Florham as one of the premier women's lacrosse programs in the MAC, becoming the winningest coach in program history with 185 victories and 216 career coaching wins overall. She guided the Devils to seven conference championships, capturing MAC titles in 2008 and 2012 before leading FDU to five MAC Freedom crowns in 2013 and then four consecutive from 2015 to 2018. A five-time NCAA Tournament qualifier, her teams advanced to the second round three times and made three ECAC Tournament appearances, including a semifinal run in 2019. She earned MAC Coach of the Year honors twice in 2008 and 2012 and was named MAC Freedom Coach of the Year three consecutive seasons from 2016 to 2018. Over her final seven seasons, FDU posted a remarkable 54-3 record in conference play, while she coached 11 Conference Players of the Year, 80 All-Conference selections, 29 IWLCA All-Region honorees and two IWLCA All-Americans. Coach Carr was inducted into the N.J. Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2023 and the Cherokee High School Hall of Fame in 2008. 

2014 Field Hockey Team
The 2014 FDU-Florham field hockey team was led by legendary head coach and former FDU Director of Athletics Jenn Noon. Coach Noon led the Devils to a 15-8 overall record and the first of her two MAC Freedom championships with the second coming in 2018. The 2014 squad went 6-1 in MAC Freedom play, led by MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year Niki Ikeda. After they dropped their first MAC Freedom contest of the year to Misericordia, the Devils rattled off six straight conference wins in a row and took that momentum into the conference tournament where FDU defeated Wilkes 1-0 and then Misericordia 2-1 in the championship for the Devils' first MAC title and NCAA appearance since 1986. In the First Round, FDU upset No. 17-ranked Utica College 4-3 on the road to advance to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Despite falling to No.5-ranked Skidmore College, the 2014 FDU Field Hockey team set a precedent of winning for years to come.
