Madison, N.J. (July 1)- FDU-Florham Devils Athletics Director, Kristin Giotta, and Head Athletic Trainer, Iavana Parker, are pleased to announce the hiring of Marisa Bogdonoff as the new Assistant Athletic Trainer. With a wide-ranging background in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and athlete wellness, Bogdonoff brings a wealth of experience and a dynamic presence to the Devils' sports medicine team.
Bogdonoff, a Flanders, N.J. native, completed her Master of Science in Athletic Training from SUNY Cortland in May 2025. During her time at Cortland, she held multiple student athletic training roles with high-profile programs, including Syracuse University Women's Soccer and SUNY Cortland's Men's Lacrosse and Ice Hockey teams. Her experience also includes work with the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA and high school athletic departments across New York and Connecticut.
"We are excited to bring Marisa on to the sports medicine team. I know our student athletes will appreciate her work ethic as well as her energy" Said Parker. "Having her on the team will allow us to give the highest standard of care we strive to give our student athletes".
Throughout her professional development, Bogdonoff has demonstrated advanced skill in injury prevention, emergency response, and rehabilitation planning. Her strengths also include medical documentation, communication with athletes and families, and working collaboratively with coaches and medical professionals to optimize athlete care.
A certified CPR/AED and First Aid provider, Bogdonoff is also an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the New York State Athletic Trainers' Association (NYSATA). At SUNY Cortland, she served as Vice President of the Athletic Training Club and was recognized as a Future New Yorker Scholarship recipient.
"I'm so excited to join the amazing FDU team and I'm looking forward to working with the student athletes," said Marisa.
Marisa Bogdonoff officially begins her role this summer and will work with all 23 NCAA Division III athletic programs supported by FDU-Florham starting the 2026 school year.
