Perillo Records 100th-Career Point as Men's Lacrosse Tops MSMC 15-2

MADISON, N.J. – Attackman Justin Perillo recorded his 100th-career point on an assist in the second quarter Wednesday evening in FDU-Florham's routing of Mount Saint Mary College at home. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Just under two minutes into the contest, Scheublin netted the game's first goal followed by consecutive goals from Perillo, Hall and Carbo to give FDU a 4-0 lead with 7:34 left in the first. 
  • MSMC's Carter Laughman answered with the Knights' first goal at the 3:26 mark, but goals from Lukko and Perillo made it a 6-1 game by the end of the first period. 
  • The Knights' Henry Micyk found the back of the FDU net after the first 5:30 of the second period, but Hall and Perillo each scored before the break to extend the FDU lead to 8-2. 
  • In the third, the Devils defense held the Knights off the board for the duration of the period as the offense continued to roll with Carbo's second goal of the night followed by back-to-back goals from Dugan to make it an 11-2 contest with one quarter left to play. 
  • The FDU defense continued to shine in the fourth as the Knights were held off the board for the final 15:00 while the Devils offense tallied four more goals down the stretch. 
  • Dugan and Hall went goal-for-goal in the final period to cap off a four-goal fourth quarter and give the Devils a 15-2 win. 
GAME NOTES
  • The Devils defense held the Knights to just 23 shots on the nigh with only 10 on goal. 
  • FDU held the Knights to under nine shots or less in all four periods. 
  • The Devils went a perfect 20-for-20 I clear attempts on the night. 
UP NEXT
FDU remains at home for its next game as the Devils welcome Alvernia for a battle between MAC Freedom and MAC Commonwealth teams. First-face off has been moved up to 1:30 p.m.
