Presley Breaks 60m Record at the Frank Colden Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.– The FDU indoor track and field returned to Ursinus University for the Frank Colden Invitational Meet on Saturday morning.
 
Devils Highlights
  • The meet kicked off with junior Nashawn Presley qualifying for the 60m event final, having placed seventh with a final time of 7.21. In the final, Presley improved his placement and his time, finishing sixth with a record time of 7.16. His time breaks the school record that was previously set at 7.18 back in February 2024. Senior Bianca Burke follows up Presley's performance with a third-place finish in the 400m event, having a final time of 1:00.42. Later in the day, junior Luke Passarelli competed in the 800m event where he placed 10th with a final time of 2:10.88.
  •  Immediately after Passarelli's performance, Burke raced in her second event of the meet. She finished first in the 200m event, setting a new season best time of 27.20. On the men's side of the event, junior Nathaniel Evely also set a new season best time. He finished fourth in the event with a final time of 23.25. The men's 4x200 relay team finished out the track portion of the meet for the Devils, finishing in second with a new season best final time of 1:35.01. The team was comprised of first year Anthony Collier, sophomore Alex Coles, as well as juniors Nathaniel Perrelli and Evely.
  • Sophomore Meghan Kreinberg had an impressive showing for the Devils, placing top five in three separate events. To start her day, she placed third in the High Jump event, finishing with a final height of 1.60m. Later on, she managed to place fourth in both the Long Jump event and the Shot-Put event, finishing with a final distance of 4.97m for the Long Jump and 11.58m for the Shot Put. On the men's side, Anthony Collier, junior Kai James, and Alex Coles all placed within the top ten in the High Jump event. Collier finished sixth with a season best final height of 180m, whereas James and Coles both placed eighth with a final height of 1.75m. Additionally, both James and Coles posted a season best time for their High Jump event.
How it Happened
  • Overall, the Devils had 17 top ten finishes, with four of those placements coming in the top three.

The Devils will look to build upon their last few meets with a trip to NYU on Saturday, February 14th at 10 a.m.
