WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team fell to King's College Saturday afternoon in a 74-73 heart breaker on the road.
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS
- Chris Smith finished with 19 points on 9-of-19 shooting and recorded seven boards and four assists.
- Frankie Denvir recorded 18 points on a 7-for-14 night including a 4-for-8 night from beyond the arc and eight rebounds.
- Gino Romano tallied 10 points on 4-of-12 from the field including 2-for-4 from deep.
- Mac Creek totaled seven points with five boards and five assists while Noah Pagan finished with seven points and seven rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman O'Malley King put the Devils on the board first just 18 seconds into the ball game. The Monarchs then answered with a three-pointer and the marathon began.
- By the 17:20 mark, King's led 7-2, the first time the Monarchs led by five or more points until taking a 29-22 lead with 5:01 left I the half.
- The Devils closed out the half with a 14-7 run led by eight points and two assists from Romano to take a 39-36 lead into the break.
- The second half was a battle between the two squads as both traded blow for blow. By the 8:23 mark in the second half, Creek knocked down a game tying trey to knot the game at 61 apiece.
- This was the last time the Devils did not trail in the contest as the Monarchs led for the final 7:55 of the game.

- Saturday's game saw the most lead changes in a single for the Devils this year at 17. The previous game-high was 13 against Stevenson.
