Center Valley, PA – The FDU-Florham Devils women's basketball team faced their first MAC Freedom Conference opponents of the season this evening as they traveled to DeSales to take on the Bulldogs. The Devils faced a tough battle, losing to the Bulldogs 71-42.

How it Happened
- The Devils got on the board at the 8:12 minute mark with a driving layup from Walker after DeSales' 4 point scoring run to open gameplay
- A made layup from Sode evened the score to 4-4 at the 7:27 time stamp, but the Devils were denied at the basket for the remainder of the first quarter
- In the second quarter, early points from Lucia Giangregorio and Clancy kept the Devils alive, closing in to an 11-point deficit, 23-12, with 6:54 remaining until the half
- The Bulldogs continued getting to the basket for the rest of the second, ending the quarter up 40-14
- Walker, Sode, Tighe, Christina Sullivan, and Giangregorio totaled a collective 11 points for the Devils in the third quarter, still trailing behind the Bulldogs 54-25
- Points from Julia Vazquez, Tighe, and Sode were made to close the 19-point gap in the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs maintained their lead reaching a score of 60-34 with 4:30 left of gameplay
- Both the Devils and Bulldogs scored 17 points in the final quarter, but DeSales steady lead throughout the game gave them the win
