MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team dropped its fourth game in a row Wednesday evening at as the Devils fell to the Arcadia Knights 84-60 at home.
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS
- Chris Smith tallied 14 points on 3-of-6 from the field and 8-of-10 from the free throw line.
- Mac Creek recorded 11 points on 4-of-13 from the field including a 2-for-4 night from beyond the arc. The senior added four assists and four steals to his ledger.
- Like Creek, Frankie Denvir finished with 11 points on 4-of-8 from the field and 2-of-4 from deep with six boards, three assists, and four steals.
- Keem Langevine finished with a team-high seven rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights opened the game with a 9-0 run and eventually took a 31-2 lead by the 9:28 mark in the first half.
- The Devils cut their deficit to 20, 35-15, after a Gino Romano free throw, with 1:59 remaining before the break but the Knights took a 39-17 lead into the half.
- Despite a 43-point second half resurgence from the Devils offense and the FDU defense holding the Knights to just two more points in the half, FDU was unable to overcome the early deficit, falling 84-60.
GAME NOTES
- With his 11 points Wednesday, Smith recorded his 16th double digit scoring effort of the season.
UP NEXT
The Devils return to action on Saturday, Jan. 31 as FDU heads to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. for its first of seven MAC Freedom rematches beginning with King's College. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
