FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The FDU-Florham volleyball team topped Farmingdale St. 3-1 on the road to win its third consecutive match Tuesday evening.

DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Genevieve Fitch tallied 11 kills to lead all players on the night. 
• Fitch, Gabbie Hart, and Amaya Ocasio each recorded two aces. 
• Ocasio finished with 40 assists, her fourth match with 35 or more
• Stephanie Lynch, Samantha Schneider, and Arianna Wood all finished with double digit digs as the trio had 16, 13, and 12, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Devils opened the first set with four straight points, but the Rams answered with three straight kills to make it 4-3. Set one continued to as a back-and-forth set but FDU took a 1-0 lead after a 4-1 run to end the opening set. 
• Set two saw more back-and-forth action as the Devils and Rams went point-for-point throughout the set. After FDU took a 17-16 lead, the Rams went on a 5-0 run and despite two late kills from the Devils, Farmingdale tied the match at 1-1 with a 25-21 set two win. 
• FDU battled in the third set as Rams eventually held a 13-9 lead, but an eventual 7-0 run from the Devils highlighted by four kills and a Hart ace, FDU took a 22-18 lead. The Rams would score twice to make it a 23-20 match in favor of the Devils, but FDU put the third set on ice with kills from O'Connor and Fitch to take the set 25-20 and a 2-1 lead. 
• Set four saw the Rams take an immediate 5-0 lead but six straight points from Devils knotted the set at 6-6. The fourth set was a grind for both squads, with tie after tie but the ended the set with a 3-1 run including two kills from Hart to complete the 3-1 win over the Rams. 

MATCH NOTES

• Tuesday's match was Fitch's fourth straight match with 10 or more kills and sixth overall on the season. 
• Hart tallied one or more aces for the third consecutive match.
• Schneider tallied double digit digs for the first time this season.

FDU returns home to the Ferguson Rec Center on Thursday, Sept. 18 as the Devils host Bard College. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
