Madison, NJ (April 23)- The FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse Team played its last regular season game on Robert T. Shields Field against Lebanon Valley for MAC Freedom contest, and saved the best action for last a the Devils prevailed in the last quarter for the 11-10 win.
FDU-Florham (10-5, 3-3 MAC Freedom) threw a team effort on the field, but it was led by
Justin Perillo (Jackson, NJ) as he netted four goals.
Jarrett Dugenio (Bridgewater, NJ) and Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ) both added two goals to the offensive effort.
Lebanon Valley (7-9, 2-4 MAC Freedom) had Sean Poole claim a hat trick for the Flying Dutchman.
It did not take long for FDU-Florham to score the first goal of the game, as only 16 seconds had passed when Perillo quickly netted a pass from
Anthony DiGiacomo (Paramus, NJ). By the end of the first quarter, the game was tied at 2 goals each.
Lebanon found an offensive spurt through the second quarter as they quickly score three unanswered until Perillo closed the differential to 2 goals just before the half.
FDU-Florham found the heat starting to rise and took advantage with a goal to close the gap even more, 5-4. However, the Flying Dutchman steered clear of anything near a close game until the fourth quarter.
The final 15 minutes started out in a negative view for the Devils as another Lebanon Valley goal was added, 7-4. Quickly after, Fabin was able to start closing the gap and soon after took it upon himself again to bring it with a one-goal game. With 8:59 remaining on the clock, the game was suddenly tied, and each team began to go goal-for-goal.

Matthew Stella (Hackettstown, NJ) gave the necessary final spark the Devils needed to notch the game winner and cushioning goal to ensure a 11-10 victory in MAC Freedom Action.
Playing a critical part in the Devils' win was
Anthony Pieroni (Branchberg, NJ) as he accounted for the last-second save to secure the win, as well as 7 another saves.
As a team, FDU-Florham compiled 52 shots, 41 ground balls, and won 5 face-offs.
Lebanon Valley as a team generated 31 shots, 23 ground balls, and won 18 face-offs.
FDU-Florham will travel to Misericordia for its last regular and MAC Freedom game of the season on Saturday, April 26 at 1pm.
