East Stroudsburg, PA (April 19) - The FDU-Florham Women's Track and Field team traveled to East Stroudsburg to participate in the All-American Invitational.
Six runners competed for FDU in multiple events to begin the meet, including the Women's 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100m Hurdles, and 400 Hurdles. In the 100m, Brianna Fenderson (Edison, N.J.) and Arianna Ronan (White Plains, NY) competed for the Devils. Fenderson finished in 10th with a time of 13.78 while Ronan finished in 12th with a time of 14.71. In the 100m Hurdle and 400m Hurdle, Alyssa Orio (Middletown, NJ) was the lone Devil to represent as she finished on the podium in 3rd place (9.34) in the 100m and 4th in the 400m Hurdle (1:18.57). Fenderson and Bianca Burke (Bridgewater, N.J.) raced the 200m, with Burke finishing in 4th (26.37) (PR) and Fenderson in 8th (27.85). Burke also competed in the 400m with a finish on the podium for 2nd place, running a 1:01.40. Kirushnavarshini Ranjan (Iselin, NJ) ran the 800m for the Devils, placing 9th (2:45.41) (PR). Ranjan and Julia Flynn (Manhattan, N.Y.) competed in the final race for FDU as Rajan finished 8th (5:51.53) and Flynn in 9th (6:21.41) in the 1500m.
In Fields events, the Devils competed in the Hammer Throw, Discus, Javelin, and Shot Put. Brianna Flatt (Bridgewater, NJ) landed herself in 10th place for the Hammer Throw with a distance of 16.74m (PR). Megan Kreinberg (Union, NJ), Irem Ucar (Parsippany, NJ), Flatt, and Gianna Chiffriller competed in the Discus Throw. Kreinberg landed herself first place on the podium with a distance of 34.31m (PR), Ucar in 3rd place (31.31m), Flatt in 8th (20.12m), and Chiffriller in 11th (14.59m). For the Javelin, Sophia Navarro (Roxbury, NJ) and Kreinberg competed. Kreinberg finished in 5th, earning a distance of 33.09m, and Navarro in 10th with a distance of 16.16m. Kreinberg competed in the final event of the day for FDU as she earned 1st place in the Shot Put, earning a distance of 12.23 (PR).
FDU-Florham will finish out their regular season as they travel to Wilkes-Barre to participate in the Monarch Invitational on April 26th, set to start at 10am.
