Men's Lacrosse Dominates Delaware Valley on Senior Day, 23-4

Madison, NJ (April 19)- The FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse Team hosted Delaware Valley for not only a MAC Freedom matchup, but for the Devils' 11 graduating student-athletes. The game was highly in favor of FDU as the dominated the Aggies for a 23-4 win.

FDU-Florham (9-5, 2-3 MAC Freedom) saw Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ) lead in goals for the senior class with a total of 4 and 2 assists. Leading the team was Justin Perillo (Jackson, NJ) as he held a total of 5 goals and 2 assists for 7 total points.

Delaware Valley (4-10, 0-5 MAC Freedom) saw Owen Kelly notch a team-high of two goals in the loss.
 
Starting off a 10-goal first quarter was Ronnie Trisuzzi (Rockaway, NJ) who netted the ball just a minute and ten seconds into the game. It was Perllio who scored the final goal of the quarter, but Delaware Valley avoided a shutout by recording two goals themselves.
 
Delaware Valley was the first to score in the new 15 minutes, but with a 7-goal cushion, FDU pumped the brakes on offense but still added five goals before halftime arrived, 15-3.
 
The offensive attack continued into the new half as another five goals were added to the Devils' side of the scoreboard, including Tristan Newhouse (Severna Park, Md.) first collegiate goal.
 
The Aggies added their final goal of the contest in the beginning of the fourth quarter and only allowed three shots to pass, coming off the stick of an FDU offensive man. FDU-Florham capped the MAC Freedom contest with a 23-4 final score on senior day.

Anthony Pieroni (Branchburg, NJ) was in the goal majority of the game and was only forced to make 3 saves. 

As a team, FDU-Florham compiled 75 shots, 51 ground balls, and won 25 face-offs.
 
Delaware Valley as a team generated 16 shots, 18 ground balls, and won 5 face-offs.
 
FDU-Florham will host on Robert T. Shields field once last time this season on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7pm, when Lebanon Valley comes to visit.
