Center Valley, PA (April 9)- For its second MAC Freedom contest, the FDU-Florham Devils Men's Lacrosse Team was sent to DeSales in search of the Schambach Cup but was not able to fully have it in sight for until the meeting as the Devils lost by 10-6 score.
FDU-Florham (7-4, 0-2 MAC Freedom) had one Devil score more than a goal as 
Anthony DiGiacomo (Paramus, NJ) accounted for two goals and 
Bud Snyder (Arlington Heights, Ill.) notched two assists.  
DeSales (5-7, 2-0 MAC Freedom) had an effort of a hat trick from Nate Perry as he also dished out two assists.  
 
Both team saw multiple attacks and numerous defensive efforts before the first goal of the game was scored for either team. With 4:15 remaining in the first quarter, DeSales was the first to strike and claiming the first goal. Just a minute later, 
Jarrett Dugenio (Bridgewater, NJ) even the score with the Devils first goal, but DeSales snuck one past in the final minute to take the lead.
 
DeSales owned the first five minutes of the second quarter as they added another two goals. A quick effort in the final two minutes from DiGiacomo and 
Ronnie Trisuzzi (Rockaway, NJ), allowed the score to close within a one goal difference, 4-3.
 
The Bulldogs were able to pull ahead after halftime, but FDU wanted the game to remain within one, which gave 
Justin Perillo (Jackson, NJ) the momentum to score the Devils fourth goal.
 
A goal from senior 
Ricky Lewis (Washington, NJ) tied the game at 5-5 with 12:54  left to win the Schambach Cup. With the risk of sending the cup to its new home, the Bulldogs procced to add four goals before the Devils added their sixth and final goal from 
Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ).
 
DeSales notched its final foal in the last five minutes which allowed them to take the 10-6 win over FDU-Florham, for the Schambach Cup.
 
Throughout the full 60 minutes, 
Anthony Pieroni (Branchburg, NJ) (7-4) stood between the pipes and accounted for 14 saves in the game. The DeSales goalie recorded 8 saves.
  
As a team, FDU-Florham compiled 29 shots, 21 ground balls, and won 4 face-offs.
 
Arcadia as a team generated 46 shots, 31 ground balls, and won 16 face-offs.
 
FDU-Florham will host Stevens for its first MAC Freedom match-up up the season on Saturday, April 12. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start and to be played in support of Morgan's Message Awareness.
