Mahwah, NJ (March 29) - The FDU-Florham Women's Track and Field team participated in the Ramapo Invitational in Mahwah, NJ.
Four runners competed for FDU in multiple events to begin the meet, including the Women's 100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, 5000m, and 400m Hurdles. In the 100m, Brianna Fenderson (Edison, N.J.) and Arianna Ronan (White Plains, NY) participated with Fenderson placing 4th with a time of 13.66 and Ronan placing 11th running a time of 15.32. Bianca Burke (Bridgewater, N.J.) and Fenderson competed in the 200m, Burke finished 9th with a time of 26.65 and Fenderson in 23rd place running a time of 28.28. Burke also participated in the 400m, placing 5th with a time of 1:00.94. The lone Devils to participate in the 400m Hurdles was Alyssa Orio (Middletown, NJ) who finished in 16th place with a time of 1:20.12. In the 1500m, Julia Flynn (Manhattan, N.Y.), Briella Bagnato (Allendale, N.J.), and Kirushnavarshini Ranjan (Iselin, NJ) participated. Bagnato finished 12th (5:53.33), Ranjan 30th (6:05.94), and Flynn in 31st (6:14:46). For the 5000m, Bagnato ran a time of 20:58.38 and finished in 16th place for the Devils.
In Field events, the Devils participated in the Discus Throw and Javelin. Irem Ucar (Parsippany, NJ) and Brianna Flatt (Bridgewater, NJ) competed in the Discus Throw. Ucar placed 6h with a throw of 30.31m while Flatt earned 25th with a throw of 20.79m. Sophia Navarro (Roxbury, NJ) finished the day for the Devils as she competed in the Women's Javelin Throw and placed 23rd with a distance of 11.69m.
FDU-Florham will return to the track on April 5th as they compete in the Ursinus Track & Field Festival in Collegeville, PA. The first events are set to begin at 10:30 AM.
