Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Farmingdale State Defeats Men's Lacrosse, 14-7

Madison, NJ (March 26)- In the only home contest on Robert T. Shields Field in the month of March, the FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse Team received a visit from Farmingdale State for non-conference action as well as a 14-7 loss to the Rams.  

FDU-Florham (6-2) senior Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ) stood at the top of the statistics as held 2 goals on 10 shots, along with one ground ball. Ricky Lewis (Washington, NJ) stood behind in the box score as he was the only Devil to capture an assist (2 total) and one goal.

Farmingdale State (7-2) had two of its players with hat tricks and three players with two goals.
 
The first quarter of non-conference action was held together tightly by first the offensive power of Farmingdale State as they went up 3-1 with 6 minutes remaining. FDU-Florham determination and grit were able to tie the game at 3-3 after a Fabin goal.  

The game still held together as the second quarter arrived and read a 4-4 score with 12:30 remaining on the scoreboard. The Rams were able to add their fifth goal and produce defensive stops to have the lead heading into the half.
 
The scoring pace began to pick up as the Rams netted their sixth goal of the game just 40 seconds into the third quarter. They then continued to add four more goals to go up 10-4 on the Devils.
 
Farmingdale State was able to sneak in four more goals before FDU-Florham added their fifth goal, once again coming from Fabin. In a final effort, Lewis and Jarrett Dugenio (Bridgewater, NJ) both were able to find the space to shoot and score the final goals of the game for the Devils, overall resulting in a 14-7 loss.
 
Junior Anthony Pieroni (Branchburg, NJ) (5-1) stood between the pipes and faced all 42 of the Ram 's shots, but accounted for a game-high of 13 saves.

As a team, FDU-Florham compiled 30 shots, 22 ground balls, and won 7 face-offs.
 
Farmingdale State as a team generated 42 shots, 43 ground balls, and won 17 face-offs.
 
FDU-Florham will be back on Robert T. Shields Field for rescheduled non-conference action against Carin on Tuesday, April 1 with a start time of 7pm.
