Men's Lacrosse Completes Spring Break with 9-7 Win Over Marywood

Sparks , MD (March 15)- The final game of the 2025 spring break trip for the FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse team was filled with intense moments as the Devils faced the Marywood Pacers at the USA Lacross Headquarters. FDU closed the week with another win of a 9-7 score.    

FDU-Florham (5-1) had Ronnie Trisuzzi (Rockaway, NJ) led for the second game in a row. He had a hat trick of three goals on four shots and picked up one ground ball. Bud Snyder (Arlington Heights, Ill.) contributed with two goals and one ground ball.  

Marywood (4-3) had John Scibello on the attack for three goals, with Ben Peters not far behind with two goals.
  
Both teams took their turn on the attack to start the game, but it was Marywood who snuck it past the goalie for the first goal of the game at the 11:05 minute mark.
 
FDU-Florham took its time to put up their first goal, as it was score with 6:47 minutes remaining. Marywood quickly ended the quarter with authority as it came to a 3-1 score.  
 
The second 15 minutes of action held quite as the Devils made It a one goal game and then eventually keeping a tie to go into the half, 4-4.
 
The third quarter saw two lead changes, including Marywood's fifth goal with 2:05 in the quarter left. The other led change came a minute later as the game was once again tied and then regained of the led by FDU.
 
The Pacers were not backing down as the game was tied at 6-6 in the beginning of the fourth quarter. Snyder got things off to high pace and Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ) sealed the game with the team's ninth goal. One final Pacer's goal was accounted for with 10:43 to go. The clock expired and the 9-7 score belonged to FDU-Florham.
 
In goal for the entire game was Anthony Pieroni ( Branchburg, NJ) who accounted for five saves and the win.

As a team, FDU-Florham compiled 39 shots, 36 ground balls and won 11 face-offs.
 
Marywood as a team, generated 26 shots, 36 ground balls, and won 9 face-offs.
 
FDU-Florham's will come home from spring break travel, but will look to be on the road Wednesday, March 19 at 7 PM for its next non-conference contest against Mount Saint Mary.
