Immaculata Hands Men's Lacrosse its First Loss of the Season, 18-13

Immaculata, PA (March 1)- The FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse team paid Immaculata a visit for a non-conference match up that resulted in the Devils first loss of the season by a 18-13 score.

FDU-Florham (3-1) saw Jarrett Dugenio (Bridgewater, NJ) at the top of the box score in today's game, as he netted 4 goals on 8 shots on goal. Sophomore Justin Perillo (Jackson, NJ)  added 3 goals and 1 assists for a total of four points.

Immaculata (3-1) had Bailey Manion on the offensive attack as he recorded 5 goals and 1 assist.
 
The game started with most of the ball in possession of FDU-Florham. However, it was Immaculata who scored the first goal with 10:55 remaining. The Devils' first goal of the game was score by Perillo, but after the Might Mac's added another goal. The first 15 minutes of action ended in a 5-2 score with the lead belonging to the home team.
 
The second half quarter of non-conference action began to pick up as by the ninth minute the scoreboard read 8-4, still in favor of the Mighty Mac's. FDU-Florham was able to added another two goals from Perillo and Dugenio before the half expired by a 10-6 score.
 
The Devils put up the first goal of the half after Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ) found Anthony DiGiacomo (Paramus, NJ) for the seventh goal of the game. FDU-Florham came within two goals before Immaculata cushioned their lead with an additional four goals, 14-8.
 
Just seven seconds into the final quarter, Matthew Stella (Hackettstown, NJ) gave the Devils their ninth goal but still was behind on the scoreboard. In final seven minutes, FDU-Florham exhausted their final goals of the game by adding a three more to close the gap. A 18-13 final score was seen with the win belonging to the Might Mac's.

FDU-Florham had junior Anthony Pieroni (Branchburg, NJ) in goal for the entire game as he accounted for nine saves on 18 shots for the day. Immaculata had Matthew Ludlow in goal as he saw 13 shots and collected 15 saves.

As a team, FDU-Florham compiled 40 shots, 47 ground balls and won 28 face-offs.
 
Immaculata as a team, generated 41 shots, 37 ground balls, and won 6 face-offs.
 
FDU-Florham look to Tuesday, March 4th as their next non-conference game. The Devils will be hosting Cairn for a 7pm contest on Robert T. Shields Field.
