Madison, NJ (February 23) – For the first time in program history, the FDU-Florham Cheerleading team was named the host of the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Cheerleading Championships and performed in the Stunt-Group and Game Day division in front of a table of judges for an overall placement.
As a team, the Devils finished fifth overall in the Game Day Division which featured teams from Lebanon Valley, King's, Delaware Valley, Widener and Misericordia University in addition to FDU-Florham.
In addition to their Game Day Routine, the Devils as completed a group of four consisting of
Laura Kozub (Fords, NJ), Heaven Ellis (Mount Laurel, NJ), Shelsea George (Union, NJ), and
Rachel Lepore (Parsippany, NJ). The group placed fourth overall behind two Misericordia groups and Widener.
This was the fifth time that the Devils have competed in the championship event.
The FDU Devils Cheer team was re-established in 2005. Since then, the squad has greatly developed, improved and is continuing to strive to enhance their abilities. The season begins in the fall, with support of the Devils Football program before transitioning to FDU men's and women's basketball in the winter. The team cheers on the sideline, performs stunts, tumbles and performs a halftime routine.
