Men's Lacrosse Prevails Successful Home Opener Against Albright, 19-14.

Madison, NJ (February 22)- In its home opening game, the FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse team defended Robert T. Shields Field in non-conference action by a 19-14 score against the Albright Lions. The team now looks to be in the hunt for the best start to a season in program history with a 2-0 record.

FDU-Florham (2-0) produced a show as seven different Devils scored. Senior, Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ) led the attack on the Lions with seven goals. He was able to aim over 19 times.  Justin Perillo (Jackson, NJ) and Bud Snyder (Arlington Heights, Ill.) were also a vital part of the Devils' offensive efforts as Perillo netted four goals and one assist, while Snyder recorded one goal and three assists.

Within the first minutes of the game, both teams knew it was going to be easy to secure a win as the score bounced back and forth for the lead, 3-3. Albright was able to notch a goal in the final two minutes of the quarter to have the advantage for a new 15 minutes at least.

Quickly into the second quarter, the heat began to rise as a goal from Jarrett Dugenio (Bridgewater, NJ) just 13 seconds in, gave FDU-Florham the needed momentum to quickly go up 4-11. Albright was able to notch two goals before halftime fall upon the field.

Even though Albright out-scored the home team in the final 15 minutes, FDU-Florham's offensive attack throughout the beginning of the game was enough to help secure the 19-14 non-conference win.

Anthony Pieroni (Branchburg, NJ) (2-0) took the brunt the offensive attacks from both teams as he collected 19 saves on 54 total shots taken in his direction. Sean McNicholas of Albright (1-3) was just shy of taking the game-high in saves, as he recorded 16 on the day.
