Kutztown, PA (February 21)- In its final regular season meet of the indoor season, the FDU-Florham Women's Track & Field Team sent three of its athletes to the Golden Bear Invitational, hosted by Kutztown, and saw one final MAC Championship qualification time and school record.
As the only Devil in the 55m Hurdles,
Alyssa Orio (Middletown, NJ) took her last opportunity of the season to set a mark that would carry her to the MAC Championships. The first-year did just that by surpassing the mark with a .03 difference for a time of 10.21, placing her on the podium for third overall.
Competing in the mile were
Briella Bagnato (Allendale, NJ) and
Julia Flynn (Manhattan, NY) who crossed the line after four laps for placements of 12
th (6:21.74) and 17
th (6:42.16). Bagnato's time notched a new school record after it was set two weeks ago by her teammate.
FDU-Florham now looks to the post-season to keep competing for those who had qualifying marks this season. They are first met with the MAC Track & Field Championship starting on Friday, February 28. Events are set to start at 1:30pm.
