Glenside, Pa. (February 19) FDU-Florham Women's Basketball traveled to Arcadia to take on the Knights. Sadly, they lost by a score of 88-65.
FDU-Florham (7-17, 4-9 MAC Freedom) was led by senior,
Kolby Lynch (Morristown, NJ), scoring 14 points and earning five rebounds.

Arcadia's (17-7, 11-2 MAC Freedom) best player on the court was Delaney Bell, who scored 22 points.
The game was started by a layup from Arcadia, but FDU responded instantly, with
Christina Centeno (Bayonne, NJ) hitting a three-pointer to take FDU's first lead. Another layup from the Knights saw answers from Lynch and Centeno. Arcadia went on to score six straight points to take the lead back, before
Gabrielle Walker (Old Bridge, NJ) tied the game on a three-pointer. Arcadia hit back-to-back three-pointers, but
Bianca Sode (Kenilworth, NJ) scored her first points on a free throw. Another Arcadia three-pointer was hit, but Sode made a layup to cut the Knight's lead. Sadly, Arcadia scored eight straight points to close the quarter, with Arcadia leading by a score of 27-13.
Arcadia added seven more points to open the second quarter before Sode hit a jumper to open the scoring for FDU. Arcadia added another seven points, but this time FDU responded immediately, with
Shannon Tighe (Wayne, NJ) making both of her free throws and a three-pointer from Centeno. Lynch added to the scoring with a layup and a free throw, and Tighe capped off a nine-point scoring run. Unfortunately, the half was closed by Arcadia going on a 9-4 scoring run, with the lone points coming from a free throw from Sode and a three-pointer from
Destiny Knight (Philadelphia, Pa.) At the end of the half Arcadia led by a score of 53-30.
The Devils started off the quarter extremely hot, as they started the quarter with six straight points coming from Lynch and Sode. A layup from Arcadia was responded to by a free throw from Tighe. Free throws from the Knights were then answered by a layup from
Julia Vazquez (Brook Bound, NJ) and four free throws from Lynch. Arcadia went on another scoring run, this time 6-1 with Lynch hitting a free throw. Walker hit two free throws to close the quarter, and with ten minutes left, the Knights remained ahead, with the score being 66-46.
Both teams hit a layup to open up the quarter, with Tighe hitting the one for the Devils. Tighe then hit a three-pointer to continue to cut the lead. A layup by Arcadia was answered to by a three-pointer from Centeno. Arcadia scored 12 straight points, with eight of them coming from free throws. Walker scored on a jumper, and after a three-pointer from the Knights, Centeno hit two free throws. After one last three-pointer from Arcadia, FDU scored the remainder of the points left in the game, coming from
Ella Doud (Fairfield, NJ) Â and
Gabrielle Mazzotte (Westport, N.Y.). With the clock hitting zero, Arcadia beat FDU by a score of 88-65.
FDU-Florham shot 33.3% (19-57) from the floor, 40.0% (8-20) from three-point range and 70.4% (19-27) from the free throw line, while Arcadia shot 43.3% (29-67) from the floor, 32.6% (14-43) from three-point range and 84.2% (16-19) from the free throw line.
Arcadia won every statistical category, scoring more on turnovers (24-9), more second chance points (12-4), bench points (35-17), points in the paint (26-16) and fast break points (11-10).
The Devils will close out their season on the road against Stevens on February 22nd. Tip-Off will be at 3:00 PM.
