New York, NY (February 15) - The FDU-Florham Women's Track and Field team traveled to The Armory to take part in the NYU DIII Invitational. The Devils came home with a medal finish, as well as several top performances.
Alyssa Orio (Middletown, NJ) kicked off the day for the Devils in the 200-meter dash, where she placed 54
th with a time of 30.74. She also participated in the 60-meter hurdles, where she placed 31
st with a time of 11.44.
Next up was the mile run, where
Julia Flynn (Manhattan, NY) placed admirably, finishing in 35
th place with a time of 6:38.66.
Amara Stewart (Beaver, Pa.) took part in the 60-meter dash unseeded, with a time of 10.03, which placed her 10
th overall.
Meghan Kreinberg (Union, NJ) took part in the remainder of the events for the Devils. First, she took part in her only track event, where she placed 41
st in the 800-meter run, with a time of 2:51.984. Her field events are where she really shined, as she placed 8
th with a distance of 1.55 meters in the high jump and placed 3
rd with her longest distance being 12.56 meters in the shot put. Both marks broke the school record in the perspective events.Â
FDU-Florham will continue with their preparations for the MAC Championships, as they will travel to Kutztown, Pa, where they will take part in the Golden Bear Invitational. First events will start at 5:00 PM.
