Madison, NJ (February 15) - The FDU Men's Basketball team clinches the win against Misericordia after a close game that ended in a FDU buzzer-beater! 

Jaqwan Washington (Bryan, TX) led the Devils with 26 points! Mac Creek (Louisville, KY.) follows behind with 17 and Francis Denvir (Holland Township, N.J.) with 13! 

The Devils opened the first half of the game with an 8-0 run against the Cougars, with those baskets coming from Washington. Misericordia got on the board at the 15:47 time stamp but FDU continued their offensive drive. The Devils took the score to a 10-point lead, 22-12, with 8:57 remaining in the half. FDU baskets from Ethan Klueh (Orlando, FL.), Creek, and Washington keep the Devils in the lead, but the Cougars started closing the gap, reaching a score of 25-22 at the 4:59 minute mark. The Devils put up 5 more points, while the Cougars met them at an even 30-30 to end the half.  

The Cougars and Devils entered the second half at an even score and continued going shot for shot reaching 40-40 at the 16:04 time stamp. The game was close, but FDU stayed in the lead with points coming from Carson Woods (Phoenix, AZ.), Noah Pagan (Ringwood, NJ), and Denvir, bringing the score to 51-46 with13:53 left. The Cougars fought to take the lead and reached an even 58-58 with less than 10 minutes remaining and took the lead to 62-60 at the 8:07 minute mark. FDU and Misericordia continued a close game, evening the score once again, 75-75 with 2:50 on the clock. It was down to the game's final minute, and they were tied up 77-77. The Cougars took the lead 79-77 with less than 30 seconds remaining, but a layup from Washington kept the Devils in the game. With 6 seconds on the clock, Misericordia was up 81-80, causing the Devils to have one more opportunity to cinch the win. At the final buzzer, Washington landed a 2-pointer, and the Devils won the game! 

As a team, FDU-Florham shot 46.2 percent (30-65) from the floor, 35.7 percent (10-28) from three-point range, and 95.7 percent (12-14) from the free throw line. They totaled 24 points in the paint, 54 off the bench, and 10 off turnovers. 

Misericordia shot 36.1 percent (26-72) from the floor, 21.4 percent (6-28) from three-point range, and 74.2 percent (23-31) from the free throw line. They totaled 36 points in the paint, 10 off the bench, and 7 off turnovers. 

FDU-Florham will continue home on Tuesday, February 18th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
