York, PA (February 14) – In Day 3 of the MAC Championships, The FDU-Florham Women's Swimming Team stood on the podium in three events and even saw a broken record in 100 fly. Together, they completed the day with 343 total points to sit in 7
th place.
Highlighting the individual performances of the day for FDU was senior,
Julianna Fazzio (Glassboro, NJ) who advanced to the 100 fly B final with a time of 1:01.88 in the prelims. She then proceeded to take 6
th overall in the final and even managed to break the school record with a time of 1:00.86.
Olivia Case (Cream Ridge, NJ) was also seen in the 100 fly c finals and took 19
th with a time of 1:05.93.
Olivia Glenfield (Howell, MI) also recorded an individual performance in the 400 IM. She broke through the prelims (5:02.84) and took 11
th in the B finals with a time of 4:58.79.
Caitlyn Kramaritsch (Roxbury, NJ), took to the starting block in the 200 free C final and finished her swim with a time of 2:09.66 (22
nd overall).
There were two teams each in the 200 free relay and the 400 medley relay for the Devils. The first team to find success was made up of
Magda Konopka (Paramus, NJ), Katelyn Plank (Bridgewater, N.J.), Lauren Stone (Middletown, NJ), and Fazzio as they captured the second podium showing of the day with a time of 1:39.85 for 4
th place in the 200 free relay. A quartet of Kramaritsch,
Ashley Smith (Tinton Falls, NJ),
Jessica Mooney (Cranford, N.J.), and
Shalma Lopez (Union City, NJ) held for a 16
th place finish with a time of 1:51.67.
The 400 Medley Relay held Case, Glenfield, Fazzio, and Stone to the final podium finish of the day with a time of 4:17.67 for 6
th. The second team for the Devils consisted of Mooney,
Isabel Thierman (Belmar, NJ), Lopez, and Kramaritsch who finished the day with a placement of 17
th and a time of 4:43.76.
Day 3 of the MAC Championships will include 100 back, 100 breast, 200 fly, and 800 free relay. The individual events will have their preliminary rounds starting at 9:30 am and the top 24 times from the morning session will advance to the final's session at 5:30 pm. The relay teams will compete in the evening session.
