OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team dropped its second game in a row Saturday afternoon as the Devils lost 85-71 to the Mustangs on the road. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Frankie Denvir led all scorers on the day with 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. 
• Chris Smith tallied 12 points on 6-of-13 shooting and managed five boards
• Mac Creek recorded 11 points while Noah Pagan put up 10 of his own.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Devils used a strong first half that saw FDU get out to a 16-5 lead after a layup from Smith at the 14:32 mark. 
• By the 7:41 time stamp, the Mustangs cut it to a one-score game as David Pridgen hit a jumper to cut the FDU lead to 21-19. 
• With 3:30 remaining in the half, the Mustangs took their first lead of the day after a Christian Jackson layup put Stevenson up 28-27. 
• After layups from Gino Romano and Smith, the Devils took a 35-32 lead into the break. 
• FDU began the second half hot as the Devils extended their lead to 42-37 after Denvir completed a four-point play with 18:04 to go. 
• At the 13:16 mark, Romano put the Devils ahead 51-50 with a layup, but that was FDU's final lead of the day as the Mustangs outscored the Devils 35-20 over the final 12:00 of the game. 

GAME NOTES

• Saturday's game was Smith's ninth straight game with double digit points.

FDU returns to the court on Dec. 29 as FDU heads to Moravian University for a bout with the Greyhounds. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m.
