Men's Hoops Falls to Moravian in Game 1 of the Steel Club Classic

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team dropped its third contest in a row Monday evening as the Devils fell to the Moravian University Greyhounds on the road 113-92. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS
  • Ethan Klueh led all FDU scorers with a career-high 20 points on 5-of-10 shooting with four coming from beyond the arc and a perfect 6-for-6 from the stripe. 
  • Frankie Denvir tallied 18 of his own points and added two steals and was 6-for-7 from the line. 
  • Gino Romano, Micah Moore, and Keem Langevine all finished with eight points each. 
  • Noah Pagan recorded a team-high eight boards.  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Devils fell behind early as Moravian took a 17-4 lead by the 13:53 mark. The Greyhounds' lead ballooned to 21 points as Moravian took a 36-15 edge with 7:22 remaining in the first half. 
  • With 2:43 left before the break, the two free throws from Mac Creek cut the Devils deficit to 13, 52-39 but the Greyhounds took a 69-47 lead into halftime after outscoring FDU 17-8 down the stretch. 
  • Moravian extended its lead to 30, 78-48, its largest margin of the game, after a made three-pointer from Kelly Porter. 
  • Denvir answered with a triple of his own to decrease the deficit back to the 20s as FDU now trailed 78-51 with 16:43 to play. 
  • The Greyhounds led by no less than 20 points for the entirety of the second half until FDU's Amari Stokes completed a three-point and-one play with 42 seconds left, but Moravian regained its 20+ point lead after two made free throws from Grayson Gozum to hand FDU the 113-92 loss.  
GAME NOTES
  • Klueh is fifth Devils player this season to reach the 20-point mark in a game. 
  • This is the eighth time a Devils player has made three of more treys in a contest. 
  • Monday's game was the first time FDU allowed 100 or more points since giving up exactly 100 to Drew on Nov. 8, 2024.
  • Monday's game was the first time in 10 years the Devils scored 90 or more points in a loss. FDU scored 99 points in a 103-99 loss to Stevens on Nov. 24, 2015.
