MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team fell to Centenary University 65-52 Sunday afternoon in the Drew Tip-Off tournament consolation game at Drew University. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Chris Smith led the charge for the Devils as the junior scored 14 points and grabbed six boards. 
• Ethan Klueh was the only other FDU player to tally double figures as he finished with 10 points. 
• Frankie Denvir tallied eight points with five boards. 
• Mac Creek notched four points and six boards. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Smith put the Devils up 3-0 to open the game with a layup and the ensuing free throw after a foul on the way up. 
• FDU jumped out to a 19-11 lead after a Nate Mbuyamba layup with 12:16 remaining. The Cyclones then jumped in front 25-21 after a 14-2 run capped off by a Kenneth Rankin layup with 6:46 left in the first half. 
• With 4:27 left before the break, Klueh hit a deep ball to put the Devils back in front 30-29. 
• Following Klueh's 3-pointer, the two squads matched one another point for point down the stretch each scoring seven points, with the Devils holding the one-point lead. 
• Much like the first half, the Devils scored first on a Smith layup to go ahead 39-36. FDU's lead grew to five in the second half after a Ryan Merz 3-pointer put the Devils up 45-40 with 13:20 to go in regulation.
• FDU's lead did not last long as the Cyclones outscored the Devils 25-7 over the remaining 12:57 of the contest.

The Devils return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 11 as FDU hosts St. Elizabeth's for the next installment of the Battle of Madison Ave. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
