MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team fell to TCNJ 96-71 Saturday afternoon at the Drew Tip-Off Tournament hosted at Drew University. 
 
DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Chris Smith and Frankie Denvir paced the offense for the Devils as duo each scored 16 points. 
• Denvir connected on three-of-five from long range.
• Mac Creek tallied 12 points and five boards. 
• Gino Romano was FDU's fourth double-digit scorer with 10. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Smith put the Devils ahead with a fastbreak dunk just 20 seconds into the contest, but a 23-0 run from the Lions put TCNJ up 23-2 with 12:37 left in the half. 
• A Smith layup with 9:04 remaining cut it to a 16-point deficit at 32-16, but that was the closest the Devils would be in the first half as TCNJ took a 61-28 lead into the break. 
• In the second, the Devils cut the deficit to 20 as a Creek jumper made it 72-52 at the 13:41 mark. By the 12:34 mark, it was a 17-point game after a Micah Moore layup made it 74-57. 
• That was their smallest deficit of the second quarter as the Lions went onto outscore the Devils 22-14 in the final 12:19 of the contest. 

GAME NOTES

• Saturday's game was Romano's first-career double-digit point game.

FDU returns to the hardwood on Sunday, Nov. 9 as the Devils will play in the consolation game of the Drew Tip-Off Tournament. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
