CAMDEN, N.J. – The FDU-Florham Devils women's basketball team earns their third straight victory with a 66-57 win over Rutgers-Newark. 

  
Devils Highlights 

• Shannon Tighe led the team in scoring with 17 points 

• Gabrielle Walker followed behind notching 10 points 

• Bianca Sode scored 9 points and a team high of 8 boards 

• Christina Centeno, Kristen Mellon, and Alexa Chapman ended the night with 6 points each

How it Happened 

• Rutgers-Newark opened with a 7-5 run over the Devils but FDU quickly propelled to a four-point lead with baskets coming from Walker, Christina Sullivan, Sode, and My'Shayla Clancy

• The Devils went on a 6-point unanswered run in the beginning of the second period to reach a score of 23-14 

• Walker notched a 3-pointer to take the score to a 10-point Devils lead 

• FDU continued their scoring streak, reaching the highest point difference of the game with a 23-point lead  

• The Scarlet-Raiders were able to slightly close the gap in the fourth period, but the Devils did not allow them to take the lead 

• Tighe, Sullivan, and Walker rounded out the night with a combined 8 points to keep the Devils on top 

GAME NOTES 

• This is the first time since the 2015-16 season the Women's Basketball team started with a 3-0 record.

The Devils will continue to play in the Scarlet-Raptors Classic tournament hosted by Rutgers-Camden this weekend. Tip-off is set for 8:00 PM against the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet-Raptors on Saturday, November 15.
