Dallas, PA (January 25) – In their final regular season meet, the FDU-Florham Men's Swimming team visited MAC Freedom Opponent Misericordia but was sent home with a 116-62 loss, despite claiming five first-place finishes.
AJ Vicidomini (Howell, N.J.) earned all 18 possible points in his events as he placed 1st in the 1000 free with a time of 10:50.93 and 1st in the 500 free for a time of 5:15.02.
Jackson Standridge (Warren, NJ) collected quality points for the Devils in the 200 IM as he touched the wall for a time of 2:20.77 for 2nd place. The junior also competed in the 200 breast and placed 4th with a time of 2:33.76.
Edward Danza (Jackson, NJ) swam a total of 400 yards as he participated in the 200 free and the 200 fly. In both events, he claimed 4th place but was faster in the 200 free (2:20.98), rather than the 200 fly (2:45.22).
Davide Mezzoli (Pompton Lakes, NJ) stood on top of the podium in the 200 free as he earned 9 total points with a time of 1:59.09. He went to the lowest level of the podium in the 200 back, as he took 3rd with a time of 2:06.84.
Michael Bang (Succasunna, NJ) was the only Devil besides Vicidomini to claim all 18 possible points in their perspective two events. With a time of 23.09, he won the 50 free and also won the 100 free after recording a 51.71.
The Devils' Relay team for the meet consisted of Bang, Mezzoli, Danza, and Vicidomini who completed the 800 free with a collective time of 8:22.83 for 2nd place.
FDU-Florham will be in the pool preparing for its next meet on Thursday, February 13, being day 1 of the MAC Championships, hosted by York.
