The first half saw tons of action, as the Devils shot 22 times in the first half, but the Griffins goalkeeper did a great job in net, including saving two shots in quick succession to keep the game scoreless in the first half.

FDU continued putting pressure on Gwynedd Mercy in the second half. At 62:48, the dam finally broke, as Drilon Toska (Lincoln Park, NJ) retrieved the ball from a Gwynedd Mercy defender, dribbled it down the field, and unleashed an absolute rocket past the goalkeeper into the top right corner of the net to give him his MAC leading tenth goal of the season and to provide the Devils with the 1-0 lead. The Devils put on pressure for the remainder of the game, but no more goals were scored, and FDU took down Gwynedd Mercy 1-0.

Genti Dauti (Lincoln Park, NJ) broke the school record for the most shots in a game, with 16 taken, including a few that required amazing saves to keep him scoreless.

Anthony Petrucci (West Orange, NJ) had a quiet night in net, as the Devils defense limited the Griffins from taking many shots, but he managed to earn one save. The Devils broke the record for shots in a game they set earlier this season, with 47 shots taken by FDU, to the Griffin's three. The Devils also dominated in shots on goal (12-1) and corner kicks (11-0). The fouls were much more even, with Gwynedd Mercy earning slightly more. (5-4).

The Devils will travel to Hackettstown, New Jersey to take on the Centenary Cyclones on September 28th at 1:00 PM.
