Dominique Rodriguez was the difference in today's game as the FDU-Florham field hockey team topped Ramapo College Roadrunners, 1-0, for their first home win of the season.

The Devils scored the only goal needed to secure the win against the Roadrunners. Late in the first quarter,
Dominique Rodriguez (Pittsgrove, NJ) tipped in a straight shot from first-year
Sophia Candeloro (Sparta, NJ) on an offensive penalty corner at the 8:37 minute mark.
FDU's defense held strong the rest of the match, not letting Ramapo get past their 10-7 lead on shots (7-2 Shots on goal) and their 10-8 advantage in penalty corners, to help secure the 1-0 win.

Emily Schlessinger (Asbury, NJ), shut out any offensive chances the Mules had by blocking four shots on goal.
