Wayne, NJ. (September 13) - The FDU-Florham Field Hockey team's strong offense earned them their first win of the season against William Paterson in a 2-0 shutout.

After FDU-Florham led the first quarter offensively with 3 shots (1 on goal), the Devils first put themselves on the board early in the second quarter when
Abigail Antipas (Catasauqua, PA) earned her first collegiate goal by landing a shot from inside the circle with a pass from
Nicole Wood (Whitehouse Station, NJ) at the 18:22 timestamp.
During the final minute of the second quarter, FDU brought the score up to a 2-0 lead after
Dominique Rodriguez (Pittsgrove, NJ) played into the left post and
Julianna Medina (Linwood, NJ) redirected the ball to the back of the cage, earning her first goal of the season.
The Pioneers were granted two shots in the final quarter, as well as five penalty corners were no match for the Devils' defense as they held for the 2-0 win.
In goal for the FDU-Florham was senior
Emily Schlessinger (Asbury, NJ) as she was only forced to make one save in the match. William Paterson's goalie, Sofia Chebookjian, only accounted for one save under the Friday Night Lights.
FDU-Florham will next take the field at home against Ramapo on Saturday, September 14th for a 7:00 pm match up.
