Chester, Pa. (May 3)- Bianca Burke (Bridgewater, N.J.) and
Sarah Dougherty (Kinnelon, N.J.) both earned finals spots for FDU-Florham women's track and field on Day two of the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Friday afternoon.
Burke earned her spot in the finals on Saturday in the 400-meter dash. She clocked a personal-best time of 59.66 that finished the day as the third-best time.
Dougherty clocked the second-best time in the 400-meter hurdles to secure her spot in the finals with a time of 1:06.46. She also competed in the 400-meter dash where she placed 10
th among the field with a time of 1:01.12.
Brianna Fasoli (Totowa, N.J.) was the lone Devil to compete in the 100-meter hurdles. She finished just outside of finals contention with a time of 16.47 that placed ninth overall.
Both Burke and Fasoli also competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. In the 100-meter, Burke placed 16
th when she clocked a 13.07 and was followed directly by Fasoli with a 17
th place finish of 13.07. In the 200-meter, Burke finished 13
th with a time of 26.49 while Fasoli clocked a 26.79 that placed her 17
th. Both 200 times were personal bests.
FDU-Florham will wrap up the MAC Championships tomorrow with Burke and Dougherty's finals times as well as with the 4x400 relay.
FDU-Florham will now compete in the MAC Championships at York University with the first day starting on Thursday, May 2.
