Brianna Fasoli (Totowa, N.J.) and graduate student
Sarah Dougherty (Kinnelon, N.J.) both had big days to highlight the Devils day at the Ursinus Track and Field Festival on Friday and Saturday.
Fasoli notched two top-ten finishes and two MAC qualifiers at the meet. She ran the seeded 100-meter dash where she qualified for the finals run with a time of 13.94. She earned the MAC qualifier in the finals run with a time of13.44, a half a second faster than her preliminary run. She also clocked a MAC qualifier time in the 200-meter dash with an eighth-place finish of 27.14.
Dougherty, who ran the 400-meter hurdles, won the event for the FDU track team when she clocked a 1:07.07. She still owns the top time in the conference after last weeks performance at the Osprey open (1:05.81.).
Bianca Burke (Bridgewater, N.J.) notched her third MAC qualifier of the season, this time in the 400-meter dash. In the event, she put together a fourth-place finish of 1:02.19. Burke also ran the 200-meter dash this meet where she posted a fifth-place finish with a final time of 26.67.
The Devils also saw two discus throwers during the festival.
Irem Ucar (Parsippany, N.J.) posted the best throw for the Devils with a mark of 25.76m (84' 6") while
Briana Flatt (Bridgewater, N.J.) improved on her throw from last week with a mark this meet of 21.58m (70' 10").
FDU-Florham is back in action once again next weekend as the Devils don't have to travel far as they compete in the Middlesex College Invitational on Saturday, April 13.
