Galloway, NJ (November 20) FDU-Florham Women's Basketball traveled to Galloway, NJ to take on the Ospreys of Stockton. Unfortunately, they were defeated, 72-58.
FDU-Florham (2-4, 0-0 MAC Freedom) was led in by
Shannon Tighe (Wayne, NJ), scoring 17 points and earning three assists, rebounds, and steals.

Stockon's (3-1, 0-0 NJAC) best player on the court was Imene Fathi, who scored 19 points and three assists.
The first quarter started with six straight points from Stockton before
Julia Vazquez (Bound Brook, NJ) put up the first points of the quarter for the Devils. FDU spent the rest of the first quarter trying to chip away at the Ospreys lead and got to within a point of them with a
Gabrielle Walker (Old Bridge, NJ) layup to make the score 14-13. However, Stockon shot a three-pointer at the end of the quarter, and the score was 22-16 in favor of the Ospreys.
The second quarter started with an 8-4 scoring run from Stockton, before the Devils put up five straight points of their own with a Tighe turnaround jump shot and a
Bianca Sode (Kenilworth, NJ) jump shot and free throw cut the lead to just five for the Ospreys. Stockton doubled their lead with a 5-0 scoring run before
Christina Centeno (Bayonne, NJ) hit a three-pointer to limit the damage. Stockton scored the final points of the half on a driving layup, and when halftime arrived, the score was 43-33 to the Ospreys.
Stockton started the quarter hot once again, going on a 6-2 scoring run, before FDU went on their best scoring run of the night. Starting with a made jump shot by Tighe, the Devils went on a 10-1 scoring run that was capped off with a
Kolby Lynch (Morristown, NJ) layup to bring the game to within two possessions. However, Stockton scored the last four points of the quarter and carried a nine-point lead going into the last 10 minutes of the game.
The fourth quarter started with traded baskets from both sides. After a driving layup from Lynch, the score was only seven points away from being tied. However, the Ospreys then shut the door on the Devils by going on a 11-0 scoring run. Vazquez shot a three-pointer to limit the damage, and at the end of the game, the result was a win to the Ospreys by a score of 72-58.
FDU-Florham shot 49.0% (24-49) from the floor, 33.3% (4-12) from three-point range, and 40.0% Â (6-15) from the free throw line, while Stockton shot 45.9% (28-61) from the floor, 43.8% (7-16) from three-point range and 52.9% (9-17) from the free throw line.
Stockton dominated the statistical categories, scoring more points off turnovers (26-13), more second chance points (22-9), more bench points (25-4), more points in the paint (36-30) and more fast break points (4-3).
