Madison, NJ (October 5)- In its third match of the week, The FDU-Florham Men's Tennis team (1-2) hosted Farmingdale State (3-1) for a Saturday morning non-conference match and was handed a 6-1 loss by the Rams.
 
FDU-Florham was only able to fill Doubles #1 and #2 as they did not have a pair to fill the third set, resulting in a point by forfeit. Matthew Emery (Howel, NJ) and Ronald Duval (Old Bridge, NJ) faced Zakaria Ahmed and Vansh Aggarwal in Doubles #1, which resulted in a 6-1 score in favor of the Rams. Chase Miller (Freehold, NJ) and Kelvin Liwag (Marlboro, NJ) hosted Ty Williams and Kwaku Agyeman but were confronted by a 6-1 score as well, resulting in the doubles portion point being awarded to Farmingdale State.
 
Emery was placed in Singles #1 against Ahmed but suffered the 6-1, 6-1 score for a second time. Vansh was able to claim the last two sets after losing the first to Duval in Singles #2, 7-6, 6-3, 10-3.
The only Devil point to be picked up for the match was Liwag who defeated Agyeman by a 6-4, 7-6 score to claim Singles #3.
 
FDU saw Singles #4, #5, and #6 in the hands of Farmingdale State as Chase Miller ( Freehold, NJ) was overtaken by Michael Lerman with a 6-4, 6-0 score in Singles #4, and Jaden Andresen (Brandford, Conn.) in Singles #5 lost after a 6-3, 6-3 score to Emil Sabovic.
 
Singles #6 was not able to be filled resulting in Farmingdale State's final point and ending with the 6-1 win over the Devils.
 
FDU-Florham will look on to Friday, October 11 at 4:00 pm as they are set to travel to Moravian for a rescheduled non-conference match.
