Madison, NJ. (October 26) - The FDU-Florham Field Hockey Team falls to Misericordia for their final home game of the season, 4-3.

During the first quarter, the FDU Devils were able to get off an early goal within the first minute (00:53) of game play, scored by senior Morgan Keller (Toms River, NJ). The score remained 1-0 until the middle of the second quarter when the Misericordia Cougars scored their first point at the 22:02 timestamp. No further points were earned for either team, as the score remained even until the half.
Misericordia was able to gain the lead as they scored on a penalty shot at the 40:24 minute mark of the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Devils defense worked hard to keep the Cougars away but the Misericordia offense landed another shot in the cage at the 52:03 timestamp. With 5 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Julianna Medina (Linwood, NJ) took the FDU awarded penalty shot and earned the Devils their second point of the contest. Less than a minute later, the Devils were able to even the score to 3-3 with another goal from Keller, assisted by Allie Serio (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Cougars were able to make a fourth goal with less than a minute remaining in the contest and took the lead at the 59:05 minute mark, ultimately ending the game 4-3.
Throughout the match, the Devils collected 4 penalty corners and had 6 of their 9 shots on goal. In goal for the Devils, was Emily Schlessinger (Asbury NJ) as she saved 10 of the 14 shots taken on goal by the Cougars.
The FDU-Florham Devils will next travel to DeSales on Wednesday, October 30th for a 6:00pm start.
