Location: Madison, NJ. : Robert T. Shields Field
FDU Goal Scorers:
Drilon Toska (13),

The Bulldogs took the early lead in the match, as one DeSales player chipped the ball past a Devils defender to another Bulldog, who slotted the ball into the net to take an early 1-0 lead. Although a lot more shots were taken in the first half, that is how the score remained once halftime arrived.
The second half started as a back-and-forward affair, as each team got shots on net but couldn't score. That was until 72:43, when one DeSales player shot the ball that the keeper saved, but then picked up their rebound and scored off of it to extend the Bulldogs lead to 2-0. Not even three minutes later, DeSales struck again the same way, a rebound off of the keeper, to pull it to 3-0.
The Devils didn't quit however, as just under a minute later, the ball was kicked into a clump of players, and
Drilon Toska (Lincoln Park, NJ), found it, and punted it into the net to lessen the lead to 3-1.
FDU then struck again at 81:56, with
Irfan Kermalli (Parsippany, NJ) sniping the ball into the bottom left corner to put the Devils within reach at 3-2. Unfortunately, that was all the Devils were able to muster, despite multiple opportunities after, and the Devils comeback was halted abruptly, with DeSales taking the win 3-2.
Victor Ciach (Ringwood, NJ) had a stellar night in the net, saving 8 shots that the Bulldogs threw his way.
FDU created more shot opportunities (24-19), although DeSales earned more shots on goal (11-10). FDU dominated on corner kicks (14-3) while also being the more aggressive team, picking up slightly more fouls (12-10).
The Devils will continue MAC Freedom play on October 26
th, when they travel to take on the Monarchs of King's (Pa.) at 5:30 PM.
