Aston, Pa. (October 2) – The FDU-Florham Men's Soccer team lost at the death to Neumann 1-0 in non-conference play under the lights.

Both teams had early opportunities for shots on net, with FDU having more chances, outshooting the Knights 4-3, but once halftime arrived, both teams remained scoreless.
It remained the same for much of the second half, as both teams had good chances, including
Drilon Toska (Lincoln Park, NJ), who had a couple of close shots in the last ten minutes, but both were saved by the Knights goalkeeper.
With just over two minutes left in the match, it was looking to be a 0-0 draw, but a Neumann player found another in the box, who shot it into the net to give Neumann the 1-0 win over the Devils at the death.
Anthony Petrucci (West Orange, NJ) had a productive game in net, earning 5 saves. Neumann edged out FDU on both shots (17-12) and shots on goal (6-5). The Knights dominated corner kicks (7-1) while the Devils were the more physical of the two teams, racking up more fouls (13-6).
The Devils will kick off their conference matchups by traveling to Hoboken, NJ to take on the Stevens Ducks on October 5
th at 5:00 PM.
