Madison, NJ (September 30) The FDU-Florham field hockey team held a 2-1 advantage heading into the fourth period, but three late goals by Stockton sunk the Devils against the Ospreys on Elizabeth Ruth Hennessey Field.

Stockton started with the game's first goal as Allie Palumbo dribbled past defenders and fired a shot to the back of the cage. One minute later, with a perfect pass from
Erin Kay (Lewes, DE) off a penalty corner,
Megan Surgent (Wall, NJ) answered back with a goal, tying the game.

Both teams went back and forth in the third period, but the Devils were eventually able to capitalize and take the lead. With 24 seconds left in the third period,
Julianna Medina (Linwood, NJ) ran the ball through the Osprey defenders and passed it to
Dominique Rodriguez (Pittsgrove, NJ) who shot and scored, making the score 2-1.

Allie Palumbo was able to tie the game and get her second goal of the day in the fourth period when she shot the ball through the Devil's defense. Shortly after, during a scrum for the ball, Carlee Thompson found the ball and the back of the cage allowing the Ospreys to take the lead, 3-2. At the 55:53 mark, Stockton was awarded a penalty stroke resulting in yet another goal for Stockton, making the final score 4-2.

FDU-Florham will be hosting Ramapo College for their next contest on Wednesday, October 4th. Wednesday's game will be on Robert T. Shields Field at 7:00 p.m. This contest was rescheduled from September 6.
