Jonathan Shirley (Lincoln Park, NJ) knocked in the game-winning goal for the FDU-Florham men's soccer team to help them remain unbeaten on the year as the Devils defeated Yeshiva, 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon. FDU also pushed their win streak to six games in a row.

The first goal of the game came on a penalty kick opportunity when
Ryan Maguire (Toms River, NJ) was fouled in the penalty box at the 38:57 timestamp. Coach
Keith O'Connor called
Yariel Parapi's (North Bergen, NJ) number and he capitalized with a shot right into the top right portion of the net to give the Devils a 1-0 lead. Parapi's goal was the only one of the first half.
FDU out kicked Yeshiva, seven to four with four shots on goal to the Macabees' two.
Yeshiva hit the equalizer goal with just over four minutes into the second half at the 49:03 mark when Franco Busso collected a blocked shot and snuck one past
Anthony Petrucci (West Orange, NJ) for the 1-1 tie.
FDU took the advantage back at the 60:21 mark when
Christian Adame (Passiac, NJ) squeezed a pass out of a scrum right in front of the Yeshiva goal and found Shirley, who tapped the ball in for the 2-1 edge. The Devils defense stood strong the rest of the contest and notched their sixth straight victory.
Petrucci gained another win in net for the Devils and made four saves in the contest.
The Devils outshot the Maccabees, 16-12 in the contest. FDU also had five corner kicks to Yeshiva's two.
FDU-Florham opens up MAC Freedom play on Saturday, September 30 at 12:00 pm as they host Stevens.
