Allentown, PA. (September 22) The FDU-Florham Field Hockey team played under the Friday night lights of Cedar Crest College and returned back to Madison, NJ with a 2-0 non-conference victory.

As the game got underway, both teams were eager to get a goal on the board as they both had three shots within the first quarter. FDU-Florham also saw seven corner penalties, but was unable to convert for a goal.
The heat was starting to rise as soon as the second quarter began. Senior
Megan Surgent (Wall, NJ) opened the first 30 seconds of the second quarter with the Devils first goal and her fourth goal of the season.
Before the half expired the Devils were able to collect three more shots as well as two more penalty corners before the half expired.
It was sophomore
Julianna Medina (Linwood, NJ) who scored the second goal of the night for FDU-Florham.
Medina was able to secure her fourth goal of the season at the 40-minute mark. Teammate
Morgan Keller (Toms River, NJ) was credited with the assist.
The Cedar Crest Falcons were granted two shots in the final quarter, as well as two penalty corners. However, the Devils defense held, and stood for the 2-0 win.
Emily Schlessinger (Asbury, NJ) recorded a total of four saves, while taking a total of nine shots.
FDU-Florham will be on Robert T. Shields Field for their next contest,, hosting Moravian on Tuesday, September 26. Tuesday's game will start at 7pm and will be played in support of The Hidden Opponent Awareness for mental Health.
