Center Valley, PA (April 5) – The FDU-Florham women's tennis team traveled to DeSales for a MAC Freedom match but experienced a 9-0 setback this Afternoon. The Devils are now 1-5, 0-2, while the Bulldogs moved to 3-3, 1-0.
 
At No. 1 doubles, Maggie Cronkhite (Deep River, Conn.) and Ella Olsen (Holmdel, NJ) found the rhythm with their backhand swing, but fell ultimately fell by an 3-8 final. DeSales won at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles by a score of 4-8 and an automatic forfeit due an insignificant amount of players.
 
The Bulldogs won all six singles matches, but was not given without No. 2 Singles Olsen extending the match to three sets with scores of 6-4, 3-6, and 0-1 . At No. 3 singles, Ashley Gaetani (Ridgefield Park, NJ) was able to give DeSales Hope Hoppe a run, but ultimately fell to the scores of 2-6, 6-7.

FDU-Florham will host Stevens on Wednesday, April 12 for its next MAC Freedom matchup.
