Madison, NJ (April 12) – The FDU-Florham Women's Tennis team hosted Stevens for a MAC Freedom match but experienced a 9-0 setback this Afternoon. The Devils are now 1-6, 0-3, while the Ducks moved to 6-5, 5-0.
At No. 1 doubles,
Maggie Cronkhite (Deep River, Conn.) and
Ella Olsen (Holmdel, NJ) did not go down without fighting, as they fell 3-8 to Stevens' Agatha Malinowski and Polina Odintseva. The Ducks won at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles by a set of 8-1 and 8-1.
The Ducks won all six singles matches, but No. 3 Singles
Ashley Gaetani (Ridgefield Park, NJ) gave Stevens worry as she played a score of 6-0 and 6-4 in the second set. No. 5 Singles
Emily Prachthauser (Morristown, NJ) scored in both of her sets but unfortuanlly lost in scores of 6-2, 6-2.
FDU-Florham will take a bus ride to Misericordia on Saturday, April 15 at 11am, for its next MAC Freedom matchup.
