Madison NJ. (April 16)- The FDU-Florham men's tennis team (6-4, 4-1 MAC FREE) swept Lycoming in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.
The Devils jumped out to a quick 3-0 advantage after doubles play. The pair of
Tyler Crook (East Orange, NJ) and
Joni Carasso (Buenos Aires, Argentina) took down the duo Nathan Redell and Luke Leach, 8-1 while the team of
Ronald Duval (Old Bridge, NJ) and
Matthew Emery (Howell, NJ) were able to defeat Jason Anderson and Connor Albaugh, 8-2. The pair of
Brandon Schwartz (
Gladwayne, Pa.) and
Karanveer Saini (Punjab, India) finished off the doubles action with a win against the duo of Mohammed Ebeid and Domanick Young, 8-3
In singles action, The Devils took full control of the contest and finished the sweep. Crook defeated Redell (6-3, 6-1) and Carasso downed Leach (6-0, 6-1). Duval sealed the win for the Devils in singles #3, 6-2 and 6-1. The matches closed out with Emery taking down Albaugh (8-2), Saini defeating Young (8-1) and Schwartz blanking Josh Neidert, 8-0.
FDU-Florham hosts MAC Freedom opponent Arcadia on Tuesday, April 18 at 3:30 pm.
