Williamsport, Pa. (February 11) – The FDU-Florham women's basketball team traveled to MAC Freedom opponent Lycoming College, a game that resulted in a 97-38 loss for the Devils on Saturday afternoon.
FDU-Florham dropped to 0-18 overall and to 0-14 in MAC Freedom play, while Lycoming improved to 7-16 overall and to 3-11 in the league.
The Devils were led by
Abigail Rodriguez (Woodbridge, NJ), who totaled 28 points for a new career high. She also collected four rebounds and two assists.
Destiny Knight (Philadelphia, Pa.) added five points, four rebounds and two assists.
Lycoming's Mya Wetzel collected 15 points with one rebound. Meghan Dufner added 14 points and four rebounds help secure the 97-38 win for the Warriors.
The hosts led 23-9 after one and 45-19 at the break. The Devils were able to put together 19 points in each of today's contest.
FDU-Florham shot 28.3-percent (15-for-53) from the floor, 31.6-percent (6-for-19) from three point range and 20.0-percent (2-for-10) from the free throw line, while Lycoming shot 41.1-percent (37-for-90) from the floor, 35.0-percent (14-for-40) from three point range and 81.8-percent (9-for-11) from the free throw line.
Lycoming scored 30 points in the paint, 26 points off FDU-Florham turnovers and 54 points off the bench.
FDU-Florham will compete against MAC Freedom rival Delaware Valley University in its next game. Tip-off is set for 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 14. Prior to the start of the game, the Devils will honor their senior class.
