The FDU- Florham Field Hockey team opened MAC Freedom Conference play today but ultimately lost 3-1.
Akayla Palmucci (Little Egg Harbor, NJ) notched her third goal of the season which was the Devil's only goal for the day.

Arcadia took the lead when Kylie Ferro scored off their second Penalty Stroke of the quarter, at the 12-minute mark.

During the second quarter, Arcadia's Morgan McEntire fired a shot in, off a penalty corner pass from Caeley LeTersky, extending their lead 2-0.

For her second assist, Caeley LeTersky sent the ball to Mackenzie Clark who scored at the 37-minute mark, making the score 3-0.

FDU was able to cut the lead by one when
Megan Surgent (Wall, NJ) passed the ball through the defenders to
Palmucci.
Palmucci fired the ball into the top right corner of the cage, making the final score 3-1.

Goalkeeper
Emily Schlessinger (Asbury, NJ) faced a total of twelve shots on goal, saving nine of them.

FDU-Florham will be traveling to King's College (Pa.) for their next MAC Freedom Conference game. This contest will be held on Wednesday, October 11
th, in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
